[NTLK] Way to make clipboard in OS X function like Newton?

   Would it be possible to write a cocoa app that would make the
clipboard in OSX function like the Newton - you drag a piece of text or
something to the side of the screen, where it collapses and stay put and
then you can drag things off the side to paste them? I figure it
wouldn't be too difficult to make an app that would function like
DropDrawers, but that wouldn't wouldn't integrate with the regular
clipboard, unless you had the app check the clipboard contents ever so
often, which seems rather ugly if you could just register a clipboard
hook yourself.
