Are you possibly thinking of the prototyping boards (see Defying Gravity
p 00:99) which were NuBus cards, but required a touchscreen external to the
computer?
I seem to remember that someone on the list acquired a bunch pf Newton
stuff that included some unidentified NuBus cards.
