Hi all,
I would like to retire from my FAQ maintaining job. I'm looking for a
someone who is motivated enough to continue the work.
The FAQ is a living document. It needs continuous updates. It also
needs a big reorganization.
Continuous updates requires 2 or 3 hours per month, and for several
months I've been thinking that I don't have time to do that properly.
But the thing is mainly that I don't have time to perform the deep
changes that the FAQ requires.
Responsibilities:
-----------------
* updating the FAQ every months
* posting it every months to comp.sys.newton.misc,
comp.sys.newton.programmer, comp.answers and news.answers (I'll help
for the transition with *.answers moderators)
* sending it every months to FAQ hosters
* checking from time to time that FAQ hosters update their mirror
Requirements:
-------------
* fluent in English language (being able to fix my mistakes here and
there is a plus)
* perl/basic unix knowledge and access to some unix machine that
would be connected to the internet at the right time if you want to
use my script that posts/sends the FAQ
* an usenet write access and the time to read articles in comp.sys.newton.*
* time to read NewtonTalk or at least to scan digests for FAQ
* something like 3 hours per month for monthly corrections of the FAQ
* time and will to entirely redesign the FAQ is a plus
Please send me your résumé and a statement of objective :)
I'll do September update (hopefully, I'll find the time to fix the
131 broken links left).
Paul
