Correct...there is no functional difference whatsoever between an
upgrade 2000 and a 2100. In fact when Apple did the upgrade the even put
a 2100 sticker on the device.

Subject: [NTLK] I've always wanted a Newton....

I got one on eBay August 2 from 'megastuff2000' for $85 in excellent
shape except that the pushbuttons for ejecting the cards were missing.
(I think it was in use in some kind of institutional environment where
they wanted to prevent the users from ejecting the cards.) However
there are no scratches on the screen or the case, the door and clips
are there, even the battery works fine although it wasn't guaranteed,
backlight is good, etc. It had a replacement stylus, not the original.
You might want to see if she has any more available. Yes, they can be
that cheap. What was the original list, $1100?

Let others correct me, but I don't think there is any functional
difference between the 2000 upgrade and the 2100.

Caveat emptor!
