Re: [NTLK] Overclocking the MP2x00

Well, the only sound I use on a regular basis is the
standard Newton song (that melody played by tapping)
and the occational game sound...and honestly, you get
used to the sound being a slightly higher pitch. If
you want the Newt to read to you...well, all the
voices have speed and pitch adjustments. If you adjust
them correctly, they sound just like they did at
normal speed. As for switching back and forth...well,
I have to say that both of my Newts are acellerated so
the only time I need to switch is when I meet another
Newt...and I don't know about you, but in the 8 years
I've been "Newting" I've only ever met 1 (one) other
Newt owner not affiliated to this list (list members
brings that up to a whopping 7 other Newts...oh, there
are rumors of other Newt sightings, but I haven't seen
them. And so switching to normal speed that on that
rare occation of meeting is not a problem at all!
Everything else my Newt does is in acellerated
mode...I would say five-nines! (99.999%)
And quite honestly, the speed is well worth it! (a
"everywhere" search on my 32MB card of books and other
stuff returns control in 20 seconds in acellerated
mode, in normal mode it takes 28 seconds...)
