Sharp's Zaurus crams Embedix Linux, the Qtopia GUI and all of the built-in
programs (including an office suite) in a 16 MB ROM. I don't think the
memory constraint of using a Linux wrapper would be too high, especially
not with the new Zaurus, which has a 400+ Mhz CPU.

You might consider NewtonOS as a sort of Window Manager/desktop on top of
Embedix. Hee hee.
