Thanks.
The JetDirect card comes with an AppleTalk port. Only the LaserJet 4M came
with a LocalTalk port built in, but then that model was made for the Apple
market.

I was specifically looking for a way to print without using the pc as an
intermediary. While linux provides me with beautiful printouts, I have
found myself in the situation where I use my Newton more often than my pc,
and sometimes it's somewhat of a hassle to boot up and wait for the
ethertalk daemon to go through its paces. The JetDirect card is actually
cheaper than a Printpack cable, and if I can find it, I might add a
PostScript cartridge to the printer as well. I'll probably sell my pc
after that [G].
