Not to me. He said I didn't know math! That has *got* to be the worst
insult spewed forth here. :-)
That being said, freedom of speech is a nonsensical argument here. The
US constitution only guarantees freedom of speech under specific
guidelines. One of which is that it does not put an undue burden on its
listeners. Hence the stupidity of spammer's claims to "free speech":
the listeners paid for that mail access, thus the spam comes essentially
postage-due. Further, it's not free speech if it's attached to a
necessary venue, that is, you *must* listen to it if you want to do
Desirable Thing X. Lastly, free speech does not apply to private
venues. Hence the concept of the "moderator".
Templar's rantings are similar, so let us apply a similar standard. It
comes postage due to our doors. We must scroll by it if we want to read
anything else on the digest. Last, we have a moderator. This is a
private (e.g., non-governmental) venue that has a specific topic an
assumption of reasonableness.
Templar had his Supernova of Speech. It's over. He has the right of
free speech. He doesn't have the right to force us to listen in order
to get our Daily Newton Dose. Boot him.
