There is a known bug in the Newton that leads to this message. Is this in
the FAQ someone?
The only cards with batteries I have come across are the 1 Mb Newton
brandeed ones. I have several 2Mb ones, with no battery. But do check. The 1
Mb cards use a Lithium cell, with a release catch that looks a bit like the
write protect switch

I am pretty sure that the original Newton 2MB linear Cards are Flash type.
Flash cards do not need any battery at all to keep the data.

Subject: [NTLK] Card Battery
I got the proverbial "the battery in this card needs to be changed"
message this morning. The card is an original Newton 2MB linear one and
I was wondering if I can ignore the message because I didn't think these
cards had batteries in them. Anyone know for sure?
