Yes, these prices are definitely higher than in the US
A tip for buyers not in the US - it's always worth checking with US vendors
whether they will ship internationally - a lot of them tick the US only box
without thinking about it, and will in fact ship overseas if you are willing
to pay the extra cost. USPS costs USD 26 for a 4lb package (insurance
extra). On top of that you will be charged customs/vat in the UK (and I
guess elsewhere) when the package is delivered. Even so, I've found this
worthwhile.
If a vendor has never shipped overseas, it may help to give a pointer to the
relevant shipping info, e.g.
