I might have been a bit too fast there, so I'll ad some more details.
Airport gives results so far, the stores showed up and transfer works fine,
but when iTunes tries to update the stores it either freezes or times out
because it seems to take ages, have a very strong feeling it's the same
memory leak that shows up when transferring multiple or large packages :-(
BTW, so far it seems that breaking off the connection and reconnecting cures
the memory leak, would make sense too since AFAIK the Newt will reclaim the
heap between two connections
