Re: [NTLK] Connecting Newton to OSX

i tried doing this with a friend of mine who needed the newton ethernet
stuff to get working with his new ethernet card. however, i was
completely unable to beam the 'NIE Ethernet' package. when you highlight
it to send it, 'Beam' does not appear as an option from the routing
menu. i even tried resetting my newton and turning all packages off
(using the pen-pressed-on-left-edge trick) and it still didnt work.

then, we tried copying the package to my card, so i could lend him my
memory card, but when you try to refile the package, it gives a warning
to the effect that 'you cannot copy copy-protected packages'. thats not
the exact warning, but something similar.

we were quite stumped about it since we thought that beaming would be
the easiest way to transfer the drivers over to his newton (both newtons
are upgraded 2000s). is there something else we shoulda tried? beaming
the farallon driver itself worked fine, btw.

cheers,
nitin
