Damned Linux users! Heh. Actually, you're partially correct. Older versions
of the Darwin kernel did not support serial connections of any kind, which
succeeded in vexing those who needed to use PPP. Apparently, however, this
has changed. From the darwinos-users list:

So, apparently serial support has been included in the newer kernels. The
quote above is from July 17, 2000, so I assume that every kernel since then
has had serial support included.

Perhaps I should just post this problem to the the darwinos list and stop
bothering everyone...... NAH!!!

Anyway, I haven't had a chance to mess with UnixNPI lately... too busy at
work. Maybe I'll just grab a Keyspan serial adapter and NewtTen (you rock,
Steven Frank!) and save myself some headaches...
