It's not exactly about batteries but has a good explanation about hacking a
MP.

I've decided to get serious about my battery contacts. I need to know how to
take apart the 2000 and, more importantly, how to put it back together.

Perhaps my search terms were wrong, but I can find no reference to this in
the FAQ and a Google search comes up with broken links.
