i can vouch for the 3CXE589ET - it's very very economical with power. i
picked up one new-in-box on ebay for $24 a few months ago.

i remember reading some power consumption figures a few months ago on the
net but can't find them anymore - anybody know where i might find them?
IIRC the x-jack only card used considerably less juice...
