Maybe you're right, I've been living in Windoze World for a while due to
work and may have gotten mixed up. (My Macs never break so I've started
to forget things from my Mac Support days)

??? As far as I am aware, os8 has the system enablers all built in,
Apple always build them into the kernel to support machines produced
prior to any OS release, I do not recall having to use enablers since
sys 7.??.
