I have had several Modem/Ethernet cards that I can use in the Newt as a
modem, but not as an ethernet card. The only one I have left is a USR that
works fine as a landline modem with one of the Megahertz settings. I don't
have the proprietary cable for it or I could test to see if its cell
function also works with the Newt, but I suspect it would.
Basically my experience has been that combo cards are fine as modems and
useless for ethernet.
