[NTLK] Nethopper downloads PKG slowly?

I've been playing with getting PKGs installed onto my Newt via wireless.
I tried working with NewtScape, but it seemed a little unstable for
general use. I've been using NetHopper instead and have been able to
install PKGs, but very slowly. Everything else seems to come down the
wireless fairly quickly, but installing a book (800K or so) seemed to
take forever. Is this because of the small network buffer size?
Anything that can be done to speed this up? A better method for a Win32
user?
