Link not dead - so - another one left behind by apple. You should
know that the driver fails if you switch color depth - right after you
do it, you get a black screen and need to reboot. You do boot up in
the new depth though.

If you are looking for other ways to speed up your G3 with OS X, try
shadowkiller.
