It is quite usual for a board of this complexity to have test points
designed in so that certain parts of the board can be tested during
manufacture. That is ALL they are. Sorry, no esoteric functions or secret
hardware connections there. They are just pads on the board that allow the
ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) to probe and measure or exercise certain key
parts of the circuit.
