Eric,
I got out my 3CCE589ET and installed the 3c589.pkg. Tested the card with
NCU and NetHopper ... worked fine.
What I have installed:
NIE 2.0 (which consists of)
Newton Internet Enabler.pkg
NIE Modem-Serial Support.pkg
InternetSetup.pkg
ISP Template.pkg
NIE Extras (which consists of)
Newton Devices.pkg
NIE Ethernet Support.pkg
Farallon Support
FarallonEthernet.pkg
3Com patch for the Farallon driver
3c589.pkg
Some of those aren't absolutely required for ethernet but that's what's
on my Newt and it works.
Make sure your internet setup has all the correct numbers, passwords and
usernames in it and you should have not a problem.
