not so much ported, as it's supported as a plugin (via WabaTester)
i.e., if page contains an APPLET tag with appropriate Waba parameters

that's a pretty good list. a few more things:
other plugins: JPEG; PilotDoc (for reading Palm DOC format ebooks)
encoding support/language interfaces for:
  Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Korean, French, German
run embedded NewtonScript (though not JavaScript) for fancier forms

fyi. Newt's Cape can be used on 1.x Newtons as an HTML viewer and book
creation tool; when there were 1.x email clients (e.g., aloha, CIS, etc.)
and mail proxy servers, it was even possible to non-real-time "browse".
