I got one of these modems with the backup newton I bought recently. I
just pulled the card out and dropped it in my main 2100 unit which
had been using a 28.8 modem and it worked first time with no new
drivers or setting on my part. I have always identified which slot
the modem is located in and set it for 28.8 or faster settings.
Perhaps you have a conflict or other problem?

Hello Folks -
I just purchased a Hayes Optima 33.6 card and can't get it to work on either
of my MP2100's. I get the same message that there is a problem with the
modem. I have tested both units with a 28.8 MegaHertz CruiseCard without a
problem. Do I need to locate a new driver to utilize the faster card? TIA
