Objective-C is tied to Cocoa, so it doesn't solve the problem.
Development using Objective-C and the Cocoa API will never get you a
classic application, regardless of the development environment used. If
you want an application running under both Mac OS and Mac OS X, you use
the Carbon API and C/C++. I doubt than someone developing a Cocoa app
will ever get around to do a Carbon version -- it's just too much effort.
