Re: [NTLK] eMac, eMate, are we getting somewhere?

I agree. Writing on my Newt is the most ergonomic
solution I can find. I use the wave-keyboards on all
my computers (except for my rack mounted servers...the
keyboard drawer can't fit one of those. Gotta use one
of those integrated Compaq keyboards on a drawer). I
also use one of those optical mouses. But sometimes I
get an RSI twinge in the server room where I work,
squatting behind racks and tracing cable routes to
switch ports! (yay! my favorite job) but I take care
of that by using this thing called a Gyro-ball. What
it does is it's a round device with a rotating
weighted wheel inside it. You pull a string that's
wrapped around it and it starts the wheel inside
spinning. Then through a motion of the wrist, you make
the internal wheel spin faster. While the whole thing
weighs a couple of ounces, the weighted wheel creates
a gyroscopic effect which "fights" back with up to 35
pounds of force. If you don't grip it tightly, it will
fly out of your hand! It helps realign your carple
tunnel and strengthens your fore arm muscles to
prevent misalignment in the future. One of the best
$19 I ever spent (Sharper Image). They've discontinued
the one I got, but their new one seems pretty cool.
It's $40
though...http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/productview.jhtml?pid=24666600&pcatid=3&catid=306
