To set-up WLAN...
- if using a WAP (AirPort, LinkSys, whatever) make sure you have Alpha 3,
set the WAP ESSID to "Newton", and the Channel to 11
- if connecting AdHoc to another PC, set the PCs ESSID to "Newton" and the
Channel to 11, and specify the connection type (on the PC NIC) as AdHoc
** Not to steal anyone's thunder ***
I was on Driver Labo today and I saw a download for Beta 1 of the WaveLan
Drivers which includes the ability to configure ESSID and channel, as well
as connection type. I have yet to try it out, but it looks good!!

Subject: [NTLK] WaveLan...
Ok, I'm trying out the Lucent WaveLan driver... Put in the card, recognizes
it, check the AppleTalk box. Is there any way to configure the card? Set
the channel, enter a network name...? That sort of stuff?
Thanks
