I got that on a cell phone as well. Our local number
now has an overlay...two areacodes service the same
area...The phone that called me had the wrong areacode
programmed into it and it reflected the new areacode
when it showed up at my phone (I guess the switch gave
the new area code too early) so when I called it back,
it never got to his phone...
Hah! Either that, or someone figured out how to spoof
phone numbers!
