Just an aside from the Farallon info for Newton. "Farallon strongly
recommends the AC Power adapter be plugged in when networking with the
EtherWave or Thinnet models models to prevent your battery from draining too
quickly."
The Etherwave and Thinnet models both have dongles with lights. The
Farallon 10BaseT connector does not have a light and there is no caution
about battery drain.
My test numbers for the Farallon were made using a 3Com 07-0276-000
lighted dongle, so if you have the Farallon 10BaseT cable the power drain
will probably be less.
Farallon also was the card Apple shipped a Newton driver for because of
its low power draw.
