Hey gang
My Mp2k screen has been developing a peculiarity. For some time now, the
screen has had a couple of 'blobby' spots that would only show up under
fluorescent lighting. One was near the top and one was along the button
bar at the bottom [portrait orientation]. Well now it seems they have
merged! I now have on emajor 'blob' covering the centre area of the
screen.
It's not the end of the world, it only shows up in class or under my
desk lamp. Under normal conditions [daylight, incandescent, or backlight
on] it is not at all noticeable and has no effect on text input,
usability, etc. but it *is* rather odd. Can any [screen] experts offer
an explanation? The 'blob' looks like a liquid 'rainbow' oily patch, and
I can smear it around the screen, though it just returns to the middle.
Is there a possible fix? Can I massage the screen somehow? It hardly
seems worthwhile to take it apart...
