My Newton came with two "fake" PC-cards inserted into the slots. I
religeously put those back in if/when there are no actual cards in the
slots, because I know what kind of gunk can accumulate in those things: I
once had a hellufa time cleaning candy out of an open expansion slot.

They tend to be sort of hard to find, but I believe GEM Enterprises
(well-known resellers of used Newtons) have them on their price list.
