And with a Nushield, you can't tell the difference between a good screen
from a scratched up one.

I was pleased with my GEM Newt for the most part, but the screen is in
pretty bad condition...so...I guess you get what you pay for. I'm glad to
have a $99 Newt...:-)

Subject: [NTLK] where did all the good newts go?
I must admit I havent been keeping up with reading of the digest for
a few weeks, so excuse this if it's already been discussed...
I've been looking on ebay for a whole, good condition 2100, for a
reasonable price (in this new market of cheapo newts)... seems most
of what's out there now is incomplete, scratchy newts! What's with
all the sellers selling them minus screen doors, door clips,
stylus's? Obviously they're selling those parts separately, what a
rip.
Whereas 6 weeks ago you could buy a whole good newt plus accessories
for abt $110, now I'm hard pressed to find anything whole with no
accessories for that price. I know there's GEM, but I am wary of any
reseller also selling door clips, latches, etc separately, bc I'm
sure they're taking them off units bf they sell them. And GEM also
seems to be picking out the best condition units and selling them at
a higher price... so I wonder what kind of crap I'll get for the $99
price.
All this said, does anyone have any info on places other than ebay
(or even reputable newt dealers on ebay) to get a good, whole newt
M2K for around $100?
thanks
