That's exactly what I felt. I DID receive exactly what was advertised. Was I
disappointed with the quality of the screen? Yes. Do I think that they would
have done a replacement/refund for me if I wrote them about it? Yes.
They were scrupulously honest and responsive to all my concerns and
questions. I would definitely recommend them...just know what you are
buying.

I bought a uMP2100 from GEM on one of the $99 Dutch auctions. I received
what was advertised -- an MP2000 upgraded to MP2100 with AC adapter, 2 new
eMate styli, and a CD of Newton software. The screen was in good condition
-- a couple of slightly abraded spots and a minor mark near the bottom. None
of these blemishes have caused any problems. The backlight is bright. The
case shows some wear. The rechargable battery holds a good charge --
something I wasn't guaranteed.
As to whether what they have now is as good, I can't say. But GEM was
100% honest in what they sold me (I got what I expected) and kept me
notified of payment receipt and shipping status throughout the transaction.
