Hello everyone,

Summary
------
On the behalf of a friend, I am presenting her MessagePad 2000 for sale
here. In particular, for sale is just her MP2000, replacement stylus, 4-AA
battery cage and Mac serial cable.

Price: $110 OBO. If this price doesn't seem fair, please feel free to
tell
me (her?) what you think is.

You see Newts on eBay for $100 that are similar to this setup, but often
in
worse condition, with broken batteries and no AA battery cage, and no
serial cable, let alone the original box.

Free UPS Ground shipping in the US.

She also has a V.34 Megahertz Cruisecard XJA3288 modem for use with
cellular
and regular phone lines. If you want this as well, it can be added to the
package for $20 OBO.

Details
-------
Unfortunately, there is no screen door or A/C adapter. An A/C adapter
isn't
strictly needed, as either regular alkaline or rechargable AA batteries
can
be used. The screen is in decent condition- there are some worn spots on
the screen, but there's no problem with the digitizer.

However, it does come in the original box and with the manuals and
disks with which it came, including:

* Software: EnRoute, NCU, QuickFigure Works Mac/Win, Newton Software
Backup Disk Mac/Win, Act! for Newton Mac/Win, Sync+, TimeReporter,
PocketCall 2

* Manuals/papers: NIE, NetHopper, NewtonWorks Word Processor, NCU Mac, NCU
Win, Using Email, MessagePad 2000, Getting Started, Newton Solutions
Guide, and a bunch of little papers of licenses and registration.

None of the software above are just the shareware versions copied from
UNNA, they're real-live purchased versions, some she bought and some
that came with it.

There's also a license number for Virtual Intern, but she can't find a
disk or manual. It was installed on it when she first got the Newt, a
doctor most likely previously owned it. She copied down the number
before she deleted the package.

If you're interested, send me an email at this address. This Newt has been
neglected too long, and would like to make its way to a nice home, even if
it's waiting in the wings as a spare. :)

Regards,
Aaron
