Peter,

the newton does not support the necessary protocol to use a T68 (and other
phones) as an modem through an IR-connection.

It is possible to connect the T68 to the newton with a data cable and an sub-d
adapter to the newton, using the T68 as a GSM modem works flawlessly (install
gsm-ericsson.pkg e.g. on www.unna.org), for a GPRS connection (always on, paid
by data volume, 57.6k kbit/s) you might want to define a serial NIE setting

Hi there,

has anybody succeded to use to Ericsson T68 as a gsm modem via IR? What top speed did you achieve?

Any hints and tips how to do that?
