That would be the great thing about it - completely abstracting the OS
from
the hardware - again like NeXT / OpenStep which ran on x86 / 68040 / Sparc
(possibly even HPUX but I can't quite recall the CD's I got with my
NeXTStep
3.3...)

Well that would be worth seeing - the funny thing is the iPod hacks and
OS X ink to essentially give new Apple hardware features the Newt had
years ago
but Steve killed.

If I knew anything at all about coding, reviving GNUton would be up there
in the
"very cool things to contribute to" pile.
