My Wavelan gold card works both with my Netgear MR314 base and my
homemade PB5300 base as well as with my friend Jerry's mighty dual
G4/1G OSX 10.2.2 software base.
Make sure when you insert the Wavelan card you use the setup button on
the slip that appears to verify your settings, and that Network name is
correct. I have WEP off.

I did an FTP install of LinuxPPC a couple of years ago. Kind of a pain
to setup, but pretty slick once it's running. I do think that YDL is
probably your best bet, although I know Suse also has included a
distribution in Mactech magazine, so that should be another option.
