[NTLK] Serial Internet Help for a newbie?

Okay, like I’ve said before, I’m new to the Newton world. What I’m trying
to do now is set up my 2100 to browse the internet (with NetHopper 3.2)
while connected through a serial cable (and USB adaptor) to my Pismo running
Jaguar, and connect to the internet.

In my Internet Setup, I’ve set tried it on both a SLIP and PPP protocol.
I’m using a “Server” configuration (apparently, I have a Dynamic IP), and
I’ve loaded in both the DNS and Domain name my DSL provider gave me.

When I’m using the SLIP protocol, it just says “Looking for host…”, and then
tells me “no response from your currently DNS server…”. When I try a PPP
Protocol, it says “Connecting”, “Engaging the PPP Driver”, and then “The
Internet Enabler had a problem establishing the Internet Link (PPP
negotiation failed). You may need to try connecting to the internet again,
or reset the Newton.”

Any hints? Or do I have to do this through an Ethernet card?

Thanks in advance,

Matt
