Newt's Cape does handle #someanchor but apparently it must have been
preprocessing/stripping the URL earlier so that by the time it called getURL
internally, it had been stashed separately in options.
so, if you don't mind adding a little workaround, you could call
...:getURL("someurl", {hrefname: "someanchor"})
I will add this to list of potential Newt's Cape fixes (though haven't had
much space time lately).
