i've come across the snug page before, but because it doesn't seem to
have been updated since last year (it talks about the 8th annual
meeting), i had assumed that snug had gone to the great beyond.

i've now heard from about a half-dozen people. three in support of
starting some sort of sf or bay area nug, two with info about the
stanford nug and one undecided, but interested.

i know there are more newton users in the bay area. if i can get a
half-dozen people interested in coming up to the city on a monthly
basis, i'll figure something out. for those of us in the east bay and
city, who is willing to head down to palo alto? caltrain is a pain, but
i can probably be convinced to manage at least once.
