Hello,
I just recently subscribed to this list after checking a bunch of
Newton FAQs and sites online. Most of the sites I've come across state
that only the 2x00 Newtons are able to transfer files over ethernet,
but others state that it's possible to go online with a MP130. I
downloaded NIE 1.0 and Newtscape, transferred them to the 130, and
that's about as far as I've gotten. I've only been using this 130 for
a very short period of time, but it seems to me that most of the
options in NIE are quite outdated (ie. primarily suited for dial-up
connections). If I can remember correctly one of the FAQs said that
ethernet was possible with a Farallon or 3COM card, is this correct? I
understand that wireless on a 130 isn't gonna happen, but a list of
compatible wired cards would be really nice.
Also, what packages do I need to have a basic framework to communicate
over ethernet?
Thanks a lot, and the amount of traffic on this list (Poutine related
or not), put all the other lists I'm on to shame.
