Hi,
I seem to remember having a 56k pretec PCMCIA modem
(from fry's electronics for about $100) work with my
MP2k (before I sold it last year)...I have no
experience with CF/PCMCIA adaptors, though.
The battery drain was VERY noticeable but it
functioned without flaw.
