Now I do not know about 2.x OS Newtons, but for my 1.x OS Newtons I
frequently use a shareware app called Package Extractor (or something like
that) that goes to a Newton backup file on your Mac and extracts a package of
your choice out of the backup, and saves it on your Mac as a package ready to
be installed...

But then again, I think this works only w/ NCK...
