Don't phone Apple or the Apple dealer. Go to an Apple dealer (preferably
a service dealer) and get them to order the parts from the AppleCare
catalogue. They can refuse to sell them to you (the parts are only supposed
to go to service techs _ "for sale to Apple authorized service providers
only") but some places will let you buy Newton parts without installation. I
was lucky I got some parts at service cost (still not cheap) because I
frequent my local Apple dealer.
