I don't have the same PowerBook, but a G3 FireWire at 400 MHz and the
difference in speed is really amazing. I don't regret that I had to shell
out another $130 to get it, as it is way more responsive and I'm more
productive with it. Plus, when I take my PowerBook at work, I can access any
Windows shares without any other software.
