Well, while Ed's experience was pretty bad, I went to Europe this past
summer and kept my Newton in my carry-on, inside my Burropak pouch. At
both ends (Toronto and Budapest) I had no problems whatsoever. They
didn't even ask me to turn it on (which I had to do for my video camera).
