William,
I recommend you go with the original Apple rechargable battery and power
adapter. (Or use a power adapter from a 120/130 cradle -- they work just
fine, but charging the battery will be a bit slower than with the 2100
adapter -- about two hours instead of one hour.) I bought a new battery for
$20 from Mr2ndHand via eBay and my 2100 now runs for at least two weeks
without needing to recharge. I switch it on at least twenty times a day to
enter notes, print something, check my schedule, get a phone number, etc. so
I would guess I'm tapping and writing on it for a solid 45 minutes each day.
(Backlight is on full-time, and auto power-off is set at 5 minutes.)
Go with the original battery. It works wonderfully.
