I just picked up an SMC2632W for use in a 2000 [upgd'd to a 2100] on our
Airport Wireless Network here at work, and at home. Here at work, I
have a mix of graphite and snow base stations - and at home, I have a
graphite base station.
The graphite base stations are running: Base Station v3.84
The snow base stations are running: Base Station v4.06
It appears to me that the SMC card is a 2632W v2 [version 2 I assume].
I have installed the Driver Labo drivers, as well as the Newton Internet
Enabler 2.0 packages [thank god for DIL Tester and IrDA!].
When I stick the SMC 802.11 card into the Newton, I get the following
message:
"Sorry, a problem has occurred [820184]"
This does NOT come up when I start the Newton up without the card in it.
When I remove the card, it tells me to stick it back in, or it warns of
possible damage to the card.
When I click on the Card extra, it does nothing. The extras drawer merely
closes, and nothing happens...
If there is anyone that could lend a hand w/ this, that would amazing! I
would really appreciate it...
Thanks!
