The eMate being a Newton itself, yes, it obviously can run all Newton
programs. For word processing, there isn't much which is the best/worst,
it's actually what is the only solution, which is the free NewtonWorks.
Going online, again, to go online, you need Newton Internet Enabler.
Then, if you want to browse, there is Newtscape (more or less supported,
more recent, supports HTTP 1.1) and NetHopper (no longer supported,
supports only HTTP 1.0, no cookies, no nothing, but better interface).
