   Yes and yes. You should be able to change the ID of the drive with jumpers on the drive. The main HD should be ID 0, and the computer itself will be ID 7 ... that leaves you IDs 1 thru 6 to play with.

   Give eveything a different ID. Make sure the SCSI chain is properly terminated. Some drives have termination resistors, others have a jumper that turns termination on and off. Generally the first and last drives should be terminated for things to work, but SCSI voodoo being what it is other combinations are sometimes required.
