Well, your first problem was discussed in great detail
on this list not more than 2 weeks ago. The conclusion
was that browsers that are pre http1.1 compatible do
not have the ability to browse sites that use virtual
hosting (also known as HTTP redirects) Nethopper is
one such browser. It is recommended that you switch
browsers. Newtscape has been identified as one that
can browse such sites.
Problem 2 is a typical Mac issue that was also covered
quite extensivly on this list. You need to get a
program that modifies the resource fork of the
package. I seem to remember that resedit does this.
You can also get a program called PackType that will
automatically (drag-n-drop) change the type to a
newton package.
